What if baby doesn’t open wide?

Thank you, this has really helped my wife! Quick question from her. When doing the cross cradle position, and you cup your hand under the boob, once the baby has latched can you then let go of the boob.

Is there anything we can do to simulate the baby opening the mouth? she doesn't open wide like you talk in the video :(

I think my baby handles coffee now better than I do, lol. I didn't drink caffeine during pregnancy and rarely drink it now.

Do you know how to troubleshoot the pump? One of the pumps won’t suction

When I try to point to the top of his mouth, he opens his mouth then I try to fit the breast in his mouth, but it doesn't fit - the nipple rests against his upper lip as he's closing his mouth again, as the result the boob is ending up outside of his mouth. In fact only the nipple can fit in the opening of his mouth. Do I have too big nipples or is his mouth too small?

My daughter is 36 hrs old and has a lip tie which makes it very painful to breastfeed and her not able to latch like she should.. so hand expressing an pumping and formula feeding til we can get it looked out. I mean she will latch and suck a few times then fall asleep and still won't get a good latch so watching this video has definitely helped me with doing this and getting ready for my milk to come in

I am here because i stopped breastfeeding at 6 months and gave her formula due to medication for 15 days the baby was exclusively breastfed since birth but after 15 days when i offer her my breast she rejects it and cry aot ..enough i am pumping the milk supply is there because i was pumping .

My baby is about to be two weeks and we introduced a shield just two days ago because he was choking on my milk, I was able to get a great supply in which caused very fast flow, which is a great problem to have on one hand but on the other not good if he will no longer latch! I was starting to get so upset because every feed was becoming a battle and it took me some time, and lots of second guessing to figure out what was going on and then I finally learned that a shield could help by acting as a “slow flow” mediator to my high flow taps 🚰☺️ Also, his oral anatomy was causing a lot of pain with initial latching and I had a lot of breakdown with chapping and cracking that I was trying to heal with medicated balm called Lactiplex and after using the shield now coupled with this I am healed up and there is not any more pain! The shield has truly saved my breastfeeding journey 🛡️ 🙏🏻

I had postpartum preaclampsia im now 3 months pp im still on bp meds but ive been ok So i had a failed induction which leaded in a c section due to hypertension.. and week later after discharge my feet look so swollen i couldn't walk it didn't look normal 😢 I started to feel off shortness of breath so i went to my first postpartum visit my bp was at 169 so clinic rushed me to L&d and time i got there it 189-190 and i was admitted ended up on mag my son was staying with my mom and my boyfriend stay with me i was so scared 😢 now it mentally damaged me im thankful i survived ❤ but i am chronic hypertension 😢 but currently on losartan to keep me in safe ranges but the anxiety and ptsd is real😢

Currently in the hospital for this, i was sent to the hospital due to severe preeclampsia that didnt resolve after my emergency c section. Ended up with magnesium before my c section and then found out i had fluid in my lungs, which was why i couldnt breath. Still measuring 150/90s but being sent home tomorrow. We will be religiously testing my bp every 4 hours at home

I had preeclampsia too during the last 4wks of my pregnancy not because of protein in my urine but my BP started to spike up to 140-90. And still dealing with it after a year. Bp is stabilizing to 110-120 and is on Enalapril low dose.

I’m sorry but having to pump or breast feed hurts more with a c section, due to cramps .

I wish I saw this video when I was trying to nurse my daughter who was born at 34 weeks. We tried so many holds and tools and during weighted feedings at the hospital she was only taking in 10 ml before she was too exhausted. We only had a few good latches during the first few months. It’s easy to feel upset that you can’t feed your baby the way you envisioned. In hindsight, I’m proud that I could provide her with pumped breastmilk for the first 5 months and formula for the rest. Pumping was so much harder than I expected, especially during the first few NICU weeks. Sending love to all those mamas out there navigating their journeys. ❤

I LOOOOOVE MY HAAKA! I’m a first time breastfeeding mom. Currently 5 months in strictly breastfeeding and pumping to store. Interested in trying the lady bug for when I’m out and about.
